Friday's Assignment

Task 1:

 Watch a video about parent-teacher interviews. Listen to a parent-teacher interview at:

While you are listening, identify the expressions that are used to:

1. Is Richard progressing well in school?

Yes, he is doing well in school.

2. What specific comments about Richard’s performance does the teacher make?

He is a very strong student and his progress is good. His sentences and grammar are better, they are improving

3. What four questions did the parents ask?

Richard did not bring a lot of homework back in china but he is now.

What club can he enroll in?

4. What information do the parents give the teacher about their son?

Richard reads in Chinese.

5. What suggestions does the teacher give to help Richard do better in school?

He should read more often.

6. How does the meeting end?

The Teacher thanks the parents for coming to the interview and mentions if they have any questions or concerns, they should contact him.
